Valley Fold

A Valley Fold is one of the simplest folds that is performed in Origami, but that doesn’t mean it’s unimportant! Valley folds come up in almost every Origami model, and they’re also the building blocks of many of the more complex folds.

In it’s purest form, this involves folding the paper towards you to create a “valley” shape.

Valley folds are usually shown in diagrams with a line of equal sized dashes.

Despite the simplicity, the key with these folds is to take your time! Try to be accurate, and keep your folds crisp.
